I don't recommend using this if you're easily overwhelming by lots of options, but I do recommend BCU if you like to have lots of control over how your programs work.īeyond its ability to clean up leftover files, perform forced uninstallations, and detect portable apps are these advanced and rare features I want to mention: quiet uninstallations, prevent system shutdown during an uninstallation, create a restore point, bulk removal (no limit), quickly delete an app's registry entry, uninstall by window/file/folder, and run commands before and after uninstalling.
Relatively harder to use than most similar toolsĪs this screenshot indicates, Bulk Crap Uninstaller (aka BCU or BCUninstaller) is an advanced uninstaller tool. It also works on Windows 8, 7, Vista, and XP. I regularly use this app on Windows 11, and I've tested it in Windows 10. IObit Uninstaller can also create a System Restore point before making any changes, includes a file shredder, can force-remove a program, supports batch uninstalls, deletes bundled programs, and includes other useful tools, too. This is also true if you uninstall a program without using IObit Uninstaller-it will still prompt you to remove any leftover files and registry items that the regular uninstaller might have missed. Check out my full review to see how this works.Īfter a program is deleted, you have the option to scan the registry and file system for leftover data that the installer may have missed, which is a great way to keep your computer free of clutter. Just drag the green dot on top of the program window and IObit Uninstaller will know exactly what to do to remove it. In fact, you can even use the Easy Uninstall feature to delete programs that are running. You can right-click any program on your desktop and choose to remove it with this tool, without ever having to find the program's uninstall utility yourself. In my opinion, the best feature in IObit Uninstaller, and the one I use most often, is the right-click context menu integration. There's a lot you can do with it, including search for installed software, find and remove the programs taking up the most space or the ones you hardly use, uninstall browser toolbars and plugins, remove downloads made from Windows Update, and even see which of your programs could be updated to a newer version.
IObit Uninstaller is the app I prefer to use when I need to delete a program.
